Nanordica develops silk nanofibre wound dressings combined with its Premotiv® technology, which delivers antimicrobial nanoparticles directly to the wound site. The approach is designed to reduce bacterial infection and support healing without relying on traditional antibiotics or high-dose silver treatments.
The company’s technology has been evaluated in clinical studies, including trials on diabetic foot ulcers in Estonian hospitals, where it reportedly showed faster healing and fewer adverse effects compared with standard antibacterial dressings.
The new funding will support clinical and regulatory progress, including completion of a large ongoing clinical trial, obtaining CE marking, and preparing for commercial launch in Europe.
2C Ventures’ founding partner Martin Koppel said:
“Nanordica has built a clinically proven alternative that doesn’t rely on antibiotics, doesn’t compromise healing, and leaves a significantly smaller environmental footprint.”
The investment positions Nanordica to advance its antibiotic-free wound care solution toward broader European market entry.
