Edge Medical announced on LinkedIn it received CE mark for MSP2000, its robotic-assisted “super system.”
The company said in a LinkedIn post that its system is the world’s first single- and multi-port integrated robotic surgical platform. It received CE mark for both its independently developed single-port surgical robotic system (SP1000) and the multi-/single-port surgical robotic super system (MSP2000).
CE mark covers endoscopic surgical procedures, including in urology, gynecology, general surgery and thoracic surgery.

Edge Medical says its MSP2000 achieves the system-level integration of both the multi-port and single-port technologies. It leverages the broad application scope of multi-port systems with the minimally invasive capabilities of single-port robots. The company says it maximizes the potential of robotic surgical systems with a “truly comprehensive and efficient” solution.
The company describes its single-port robot as compact, lightweight and requiring less operating room space. It features high flexibility and greater depth for lesion manipulation, plus a variety of proprietary extended instruments.
MSP2000 has a unified control platform that can pair the same surgeon console with both port options. The company claims it has “unprecedented” configuration flexibility and shortens the learning curve. Additionally, it supports both local and remote surgery.
Shenzhen, China-based Edge Medical says it aims to revolutionize surgery through technological innovation, accelerating the global adoption of robotic-assisted procedures.
“We are committed to advancing the evolution of surgery through original innovation. Receiving the CE mark means we can provide global medical institutions with more flexible and comprehensive robotic surgical solutions, further accelerating the adoption of precise minimally invasive surgery,” said Dr. Wang Jianchen, founder, chair, and CEO of Edge Medical.
