Kristien Esser, CEO and Founder, witnessed firsthand the limitations of an executive search approach that focused on hard selling and meeting KPIs. Recognising these quota-driven practices often came at the expense of both clients and candidates, he established Guided Solutions in 2000 with the aim of introducing a more thoughtful, collaborative, and service-led approach to Executive Search.
The company has evolved from a bold idea and a small team sharing a desk into a trusted global industry pioneer. Over the past 25 years, it has delivered transformational leadership to more than 600 clients, guided by its founding principles: rigorous search, relationship-led service, and an unwavering commitment to quality. This dedication has resulted in more than 10,000 successful placements, a trusted network of over 100,000 LinkedIn followers, and six international offices in the United States, United Kingdom, Spain, Germany, Switzerland and Bulgaria. What is more, over half of our employees have been with the business for over 12 years, reinforcing that our people believe in our mission and model.
This milestone represents a moment of reflection and a clear signal of sustained momentum. As part of its ongoing growth strategy, Guided Solutions has opened its first United States office in North Carolina in March 2025, extending its Executive Search capabilities to better serve clients and candidates across North America. Over the past year, the company has also appointed new Managing Directors in Germany and Switzerland, and has spun out its Aesthetics division into a standalone brand: ValuraNova.
