RingConn has introduced its Gen 2 Smart Ring, featuring what it claims to be the world’s first integrated sleep apnoea monitoring in a smart ring format.
The device has a compact design and a suite of comprehensive health monitoring services.

Unlike the traditional diagnosis methods such as polysomnography (PSG) that require overnight stays in sleep labs, the Gen 2 offers continuous, at-home screening, providing daily sleep health insights for the users.
RingConn is currently seeking clearance from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the sleep apnea monitoring feature of the smart ring.
The ring has a minimum thickness of 2mm and weighs only 2g for the smallest size. It is 12% narrower and 23% thinner than its predecessor.
The Gen 2’s battery life sets a new industry standard, offering ten to 12 days of usage on a single charge.
With its charging case, the device can be used continuously for more than 150 days.
RingConn’s Gen 2 ring provides advanced exercise metrics, accurate sleep analysis, monitoring of stress, continuous tracking of heart rate and blood oxygen, and menstrual cycle predictions for female users.
The company plans to further improve the smart ring’s capabilities through regular software updates.
RingConn said the new Gen 2 Smart Ring is made available for pre-order on Kickstarter.
Post-campaign, the device is planned to be sold on RingConn’s official website and through retail partners such as Amazon.
