Neocis launched Yomi S, its next-generation robotic platform for dental implant surgery. Miami-based Neocis designed Yomi S, powered by the YomiPlan AI software, to deliver surgical precision, streamlined workflows and high-quality patient outcomes. Its offering launches with FDA clearance, according to a news release.

The next-generation system builds on the original Yomi, an FDA-cleared dental surgical robot system. The computerized robotic navigational system assists in the preoperative and intraoperative phases of dental implantation surgery. Yomi provides software for planning procedures and offers robotic navigational guidance for surgical instruments during procedures. The company developed its system for use in partially edentulous and fully edentulous adult patients who qualify for dental implants.

Yomi assists clinicians during all phases of implant placement. Its streamlined digital planning and haptic guidance offer accuracy, efficiency and confidence for clinicians. Its uses often include flapless procedures, a less invasive surgical approach.

Now, the company says Yomi S can be operated by a single practitioner via foot pedal and touchscreen. It frees up staff resources and makes robotic-assisted implant surgery more accessible, Neocis said. The new system also features a smaller footprint, enhanced dexterity, better visibility and a new AI-powered planning suite.

According to Neocis, Yomi S features a minimally invasive, flapless approach. This helps it reduce incisions and surgical time to shorten recovery periods and reduce discomfort.

“Yomi S isn’t just groundbreaking for dental robotics; it sets a new standard for robotic surgery in general. With ease of use as the primary focus, Yomi S enables every dental practice to integrate robotics into their workflow” said Alon Mozes, founder and CEO of Neocis. “We’ve combined robotic precision with an intuitive, surgeon-friendly design to make implant surgery faster and more accessible than ever before. Yomi has nearly completed 100,000 osteotomies, and we’re excited to accelerate growth with Yomi S to deliver the best care to patients everywhere.”
