Neuralink attracts $600 million for BCI tech

The funding, led by Founders Fund and Google Ventures, boosts its valuation to $9 billion despite being in a pre-commercial stage, reflecting strong investor confidence in its brain-computer interface technology.

The funding follows its first-in-human trials and highlights growing enthusiasm for the emerging BCI market, projected to reach up to $12.4 billion by 2030.

Salvia BioElectronics secures $60M to treat chronic migraine

Salvia BioElectronics has raised $60 million in Series B funding, led by Innovation Industries and participation from Invest-NL and EIC Fund. The funding will help Salvia advance clinical development and prepare for commercial launch of its MySalvia Therapy, a minimally invasive neuromodulation treatment for chronic migraine.

The financing will also support regulatory approvals in the U.S., Europe, and Australia, aiming to offer a new option for patients unresponsive to existing migraine treatments.

EBR Systems raises $36.1M for leadless pacing tech

EBR Systems has secured $36.1 million through an institutional placement and may raise an additional $3.9 million via a security purchase plan to support commercialisation of its WiSE cardiac resynchronization therapy system.

The FDA-approved, wireless CRT device is the only leadless solution for left ventricular pacing and aims to broaden access to heart failure treatment.

Acclaro Medical raises $23M to advance 2910 nm Fiber Laser Technology

The Series B round was led by Accelmed Partners to accelerate global expansion and further develop its aesthetic technologies, including the UltraClear and AuraLux systems.

The UltraClear fiber laser, featuring proprietary 3DIntelliPulse technology, is the first 2910 nm cold ablative fiber laser designed to treat multiple skin layers for reversing signs of aging.

Surgify Medical secures $7.97M to advance bone surgery technology

Surgify Medical has raised $7.97m in Series A funding, led by ZEISS Ventures, to build on its Nordic market launch and expand its Surgify Halo bone surgery technology into the EU and U.S. markets.

The MDR- and FDA-approved system enhances surgical precision by cutting bone while protecting soft tissue, addressing key safety limitations of conventional drills and offering a safer alternative.

PorTal Access raises $7M to launch novel medical device for cancer patients

PorTal Access secured a $7 million Series A round, with most funding coming from U.S. physicians, to advance regulatory approval of its Flexi-Port SLF-TANL device for improved oncology vascular access.

The company plans to submit a 510(k) to the FDA by July 2025 and aims to commercialise the device in 2026, positioning it as a streamlined, scalable solution for clinicians and cancer patients.

Brainreader secures €6.6M for brain diagnostic commercialisation

The €6.6 million funding, led by new investor Dahlgren Capital and included participation from existing investor Investo Capital, will support the commercial rollout of Neuroreader, its FDA-cleared and CE-marked AI software for analysing MRI scans to diagnose neurodegenerative conditions. The platform uses brain atrophy biomarkers to deliver automated, personalised measurements of brain structures, aiding clinicians in the assessment of disorders like traumatic brain injury.
