US-based medical technology firm Enovis has introduced the new Arsenal Ankle Plating System for fracture.
The new system is said to expand the Arsenal Foot Plating System as the latest addition to the company’s suite of foot and ankle products.
Designed to address tri-malleolar and intra-articular fracture patterns, the Arsenal Ankle Plating System includes 37 anatomically designed plates in nine plate families.
The system features variable angle locking technology, which is designed to allow multi-lock functionality. This accepts repeatable lock and relock of screws, helping to reduce implant waste and saving operating room (OR) time.
It also has dual lead screw options, including 4mm locking and non-locking cancellous screws, hexalobe 2.7mm and 3.5mm locking and non-locking cortical screws, and partially threaded cannulated hexalobe screws.

The Arsenal Foot Plating System’s design also allows a 60° cone of angulation.
It is said to be an exclusive solution for addressing malleoli fractures.
Enovis foot and ankle president and general manager Gary Justak said: “Our Arsenal product line was created to disrupt existing technology.

The company stated that the scalloped plate design of the system helps ease plate contouring to the patient’s anatomy and also reduces the plate footprint.
