Caldera Medical, a women’s health medical device company, has announced the acquisition of Ethicon‘s GYNECARE TVT family of products, marking a significant expansion of its global presence in the women’s health sector. The company will transition the products in the coming months as part of its strategic growth initiative.

The TVT product line includes TVT, TVT Exact, TVT-O, and TVT Abbrevo – all minimally invasive treatment options for women suffering from stress urinary incontinence (SUI). Recognized as a gold standard in SUI treatment, the TVT product family brings over two decades of clinical data and patient follow-up to Caldera Medical’s portfolio.

As part of the acquisition agreement, Caldera Medical will maintain continuity by retaining the same manufacturing facility, materials, and dedicated manufacturing team behind the TVT products. This approach ensures a seamless transition for surgeons, patients, and partners while preserving the trusted performance and efficacy of the products.

“This acquisition marks a significant advancement in our mission to transform women’s health,” said Bryon Merade, CEO of Caldera Medical. “By bringing the TVT product line into our portfolio, we reinforce our unwavering commitment to providing safe, effective solutions for surgeons and their patients. We are honored to build on the legacy and expand the reach of this esteemed product family, delivering proven treatments to more women around the world.”

The company plans to expand global customer support for TVT over the next several months and will invest in increasing access to care for more women worldwide. This strategic move combines Caldera Medical’s established expertise in pelvic health with TVT’s demonstrated clinical success.

This acquisition represents the third major addition to Caldera Medical’s product portfolio in recent years. In September 2023, the company acquired Atlantic Therapeutics with its Innovo non-invasive solution for bladder leaks. More recently, in October 2024, Caldera Medical acquired UVision360 with the Luminelle product line for hysteroscopy and cystoscopy procedures.

Caldera Medical specializes in developing, manufacturing, and marketing advanced medical devices for treating conditions such as Stress Urinary Incontinence, Pelvic Organ Prolapse, and gynecologic conditions like polyps and fibroids.
